As of December 15, 2020, the tabulation of the official 2020 Census count of the U.S. population is not yet complete, but in the meantime, the U.S. Census Bureau released today an estimate of the population as of April 1, 2020 of 332.6 million. When you respond to the census, your answers are kept anonymous. They are used only to produce statistics. The U.S. Census Bureau is bound by law under U.S. Code Title 13, to protect your answers and keep them strictly confidential. The law ensures that your private, home or business identifiable information is never published and that your answers cannot be used against you by any government agency or court.
